Winner of Golden Pin Design Award 2022

I am honored to have my book design for A collection of Singapore’s fading traditional crafts and trades chosen as a winner of the 2022 Golden Pin Design Award in Communication Design.

Since 1981, the Golden Pin Design Awards have reigned as the most prestigious design accolades in the global Chinese market.

In the 2022 edition, the competition drew over 5,000 submissions from 17 countries and regions, highlighting its global significance. After first evaluation, 1,827 submissions advanced to the secondary selection across four categories—Product Design, Communication Design, Space Design, and Integrated Design. Latterly, 687 submissions were honoured with the prestigious Design Mark.

About Golden Pin Design Award

Established in 1981, Taiwan’s Golden Pin Design Award is the most influential design award in the global Huaren market. The planning and handling of the awards, the prize-giving ceremony, and all other related events are executed by Taiwan Design Research Institute (TDRI). In 2015, the Golden Pin Design Award launched three separate award competitions – the Golden Pin Design Award, the Golden Pin Concept Design Award, and the Young Pin Design Award. While each award targets a different demographic, the purpose of each is to commend outstanding innovation in design.
