Xiamen International Design Business Week - Red Dot in China 201

I was one of the 15 International Designers invited by Red Dot Germany to exhibit our award-winning creative works in Xiamen International Design Business Week - Red Dot in China 2015.

Red Dot:

The five million South-Chinese metropolis Xiamen is the tourist attraction of the country and has a flourishing design industry. The stated aim of the city is to become one of the largest sites for industrial and creative design in China. At the beginning of November 2015, this claim was reached with the fourth edition of the "Xiamen International Design Business Week - Red Dot in China".

In 2014, more than 30,000 visitors attended the Red Dot design exhibition. That number has increased tenfold in 2015: From 30 October until 2 November, 300,000 international designers, manufacturers and design enthusiasts came together at the International Conference and Exhibition Center of Xiamen and got fascinated by the latest product developments. The audience experienced a selection of the best Red Dot award-winning products as well as the presentations of excellent design studios, who offered their services over a vast number of Chinese producers.

The opening of the Red Dot curated exhibition was held under theapplause of both Wang Menghui, Secretary General of CPC Xiamen Municipal Party Committee and the highest representative of the city, and Vice-Mayor Guo Guirong. Numerous CEOs of influential companies and the leadership of the Xiamen Culture Media Group, which organised the exhibition in cooperation with Red Dot, were present. The opening speech was given by Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot.
